The 2025 Athens GA area Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots Campaign will kick off its annual toy collection drive in mid October. Check our website often for updates of drop off locations, status reports and local partners. Our 2025 Area of Responsibility will include the following counties:

• Clarke 
• Greene
• Madison
• Oglethorpe
• Oconee.

The Athens Jaycees have once again partnered with the Marines of Detachment 1083 and have pledged a more than generous amount of support and manpower in all venues of this year's campaign. They are excited about keeping the annual event alive in our Area Of Responsibility and they strive to make this community service event one of their primary service events each year. Without the community-mindedness of these more than exceptional young community leaders, both the goals and results expected for this year's campaign would be impractical. A big "Thank You!" is due to all of them even before we start.

Also, The Athens Jaycees have once again partnered with the Salvation Army in Athens. They will assist in covering our entire distribution Area Of Responsibility (AOR); while we will work to supply toys directly to them as our partner agency in each of the below-listed counties:

Athens-Clarke County:    

REGISTRATION FOR 2025 in Clarke County will open September 15th and close September 29th. Please click the link below to register, enter your ZIP code (click NO for invitation code and fill out ZIP code), and follow instructions.

 

*The Salvation Army is by far the largest agency locally supported by The Joseph Schmittou Detachment 1083 of the Marine Corps League Toys For Tots Campaign here in Northeast Georgia. Without their multi-county Area Of Responsibility (AOR) and coordination, the efforts of the Marines and Athens Jaycees would be severely reduced. Applicants receiving items through the Salvation Army are notified directly and arrangements for pick up are handled by their staff. This provides the Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots Drive with a distribution base that ensures we cover all of the counties in our AOR. Additionally, they act as a resource for the distribution of support for families who face disasters during the entire year.

The Salvation Army is the first agency whose needs our campaign addresses, we then focus on each of our counties on an equal and as needed rotational basis.

Oconee County:
In Oconee County our distribution will be primarily be providing any requested support for the Oconee County "Secret Santa Program" and Toys For Tots additionally will attempt to supply any necessary toy requests that meet the same requirements as those listed in the Clarke County requirements section above and are made known to us, validated and requested by the Oconee County Resource Council (OCRC) or The Oconee County "Area Churches Together Serving" (ACTS) program .

Distribution:

All distribution to Oconee County residents requesting through ACTS or OCRC will be handled on a date and by a method determined by those two agencies, should they still desire to participate. 

Any individual requests directed to our campaign staff from Oconee County residents will first be directed to the County’s Secret Santa Program and then to any other participating agency.
